Our Mission, Aims and Philosophy
Mission StatementThe Mission of The Good Shepherd Lutheran Primary School is to provide a Christ-centred education which enables our children to come to know and love Jesus. In this environment children will be led to recognise and develop their unique God-given spiritual, academic, physical, emotional and social potential, that they may become citizens who are prepared to use their talents for their own well-being and the welfare of the community.
Aims of the School
The School understands Christian education to be concerned with the complete development of the individual in all aspects of his/her being: spiritually, personally and socially. It sees all development in knowledge, skills and attitudes as intimately and integrally related to growth in Christian faith, understanding and character.
Educational Philosophy
Within the context of the aims of the School, the educational philosophy revolves around the belief that every child has the right to reach his or her optimum level of functioning and performance in terms of intellectual, physical, social and spiritual dimensions of life, and that these attainments, skills and attitudes be used in developing and strengthening positive relationships with others in society.
